This medicine is used to treat painful disorders caused by inflammatory diseases including rheumatic pain, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis. Can also be used in postoperative pain, traumatic pain, painful period cramps, headache including migraine, and toothache.

Store at maintained room temperature, away from sunlight and cold.

Primary Uses
Indications

Piroxicam-beta-cyclodextrin is being used in the management of acute and chronic painful disorders like osteoarthritis (type of arthritis), Rheumatoid arthritis (type of arthritis caused by autoimmune disorder), ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis that affects spine). Dysmennorhea (painful menstruation), toothache, migraine headache, post-operative and traumatic pain are also managed by this medicine.

Side Effects

Some patients may experience stomach disturbances, skin rash and reactions, oedema (swelling), Malaise (body ache), brain effects and Tinnitus (ringing in ears). Please consult your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms.

Warnings

Pregnancy

Please consult your doctor before taking piroxicam-beta-cyclodextrin. Use only when no safer alternative exists for a serious problem.

Lactation

Please consult your doctor before taking  piroxicam-beta-cyclodextrin if you are breastfeeding.

Precautions

Piroxicam-beta-cyclodextrin must be used with caution by patients with Renal (kidney) impairment, hepatic (liver) problems, heart failure (particularly elderly patients), Monitor those patients getting long-term therapy and those with phenylketonuria (metabolic disorder).

Contraindications

Piroxicam-beta-cyclodextrin must not be used by patients with Active peptic ulcer, history of recurrent ulcerations, and Aspirin/anti-inflammatory induced allergy.
