Introduction

E-clar tablet contains clarithromycin in it which is a macrolide antibiotic. Macrolide antibiotics work by inhibiting the synthesis of protein in bacteria which is responsible for bacterial infection growth. E-clar is indicated for treating wide range of bacterial infections like pharyngitis, tonsillitis, acute maxillary sinusitis (inflammation and swelling of cavities around nasal passages), acute bacterial exacerbation of long-term bronchitis (worsening of symptoms of lung disease), community acquired pneumonia, & in skin infections like cellulitis, folliculitis, erysipelas etc.
