   It is used for relief of wet cough and chest congestion due to the common cold. Also used in other breathing illnesses.

   Its dose in adults and children is two to four teaspoons (200 mg to 400 mg) every four hours, which are not to exceed 2400 mg (24 teaspoons) in 24 hours. Do not take this medicine for more than 7 days. This medication is for temporary use only.

   Ensure to keep it in a tightly closed container, at room temperature, and out of the reach of the children.
6. What are its precautions?
   You are required to follow the following precautions while using this medicine; it should not be given to children and infants younger than 2 years of age unless you are directed to do so by your doctor and do not give it over-the-counter (OTC) as cough and cold medicine to a baby or child under 4 years of age. Storage:

Please store this medicine at room temperature (18-25 Celsius). Keep medicine away from excessive light and moisture. Dispose the inhaler six weeks after use. Please keep it away from children.

Precautions:

May make you dizzy; therefore, it is advised not to do any tasks that require alertness (e.g. driving) immediately after taking this medicine, patients with diabetes, heart impairments and high blood pressure should be cautious, and not to be used alone for treating moderate to severe asthma.
